It is amazing how much the temperature can affect how much energy our dogs have on their walks. Everyone has been pretty energetic and hyper since spring has showed up, but today the heat was a little too much for everyone.
By the end of our walk Blue usually has enough energy for a little run back to her house or a game of tug while I am trying to open her gate. Well, not today. By the time we were about a block or two from her house she decided she needed a little rest and relaxation.
She plopped right down in the grass for a good rub down. After a nice shake she even went down again for a second scratch to make sure she got that itchy spot. After a little break, she was ready to get back on the road again, but at a little more leisurely pace.
